Abstract
It seems like it's been way longer than five years since impossibly quiet Norwegian folk duo Kings of Convenience released their sophomore album, Riot on the Street. But nope, that ditty came out in 2004, and their new one, Declaration of Dependence (awesome title, btw), is out in 2009. The band promises that Declaration is even more stripped-down from their last albums, which seems patently impossible, since they define stripped-down.
Kings of Convenience once posited that quiet is the new loud, but what's the new quiet? Maybe they'll answer that on Declaration.
